Save the Date: April 21 – 22, 2025

The 2025 WNDD Summit is right around the corner. This year’s event, themed “Building a Stronger Nevada” will provide attendees with a look into rural resources, funding opportunities, infrastructure challenges, the Nevada Main Street Program, and fostering partnerships that create an environment for regional growth.

Guests include elected officials, sponsors and speakers. Expect presentations from area experts, an exciting local tour, fun, food and entertainment.

Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation (FSPSF)

FSPSF provides lifesaving equipment and prevention education tools to first responders and public safety organizations. FSPSF was founded in 2005 in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

Grant Categories:

• Lifesaving Equipment
Provide first responders with lifesaving equipment.
• Prevention Education
Provide prevention education tools to the public about the importance of public safety in order to prevent disasters in the home and community.
• Scholarships & Continued Education
Provide financial resources or continued education to individuals pursuing a career in public safety.
• Disaster Relief
Provide assistance/resources during and after natural and man-made disasters.
• Support for Members of the Military
Benefit men and women of the military who have served their country in any of the branches of the United States Uniformed Services.

Awards up to $45,000

STEM and Medical Research Grant Opportunities

The Glenn W. Bailey Foundation supports projects and programs that provide students and educators with enhanced resources for hands-on, STEM-based learning. The program strives to empower students and educators in the US to regain status as global leaders in innovation and technology.

Project Areas:

• Entrepreneurial Programs: Teach business, money management, marketing, leadership, strategy, financing, and startup skills.
• Innovative Environmental Projects (IEPs): IEPs that utilize interdisciplinary research to identify and address critical environmental problems with cutting-edge, innovative solutions that are scalable and replicable.
• Biomedical Research and Innovation: Projects and programs that contribute to advancements while also accelerating progress in medical research and drug treatment developed specifically for high-mortality, under-funded areas of need such as pancreatic and colon cancers.

Grant awards typically range from $20,000 to $35,000

Building More Prosperous Rural Communities

Main Street America and Smart Growth America have partnered with T Mobile to help build stronger, more prosperous small towns and rural communities. T Mobile’s Hometown Grant program invests in small towns by awarding up to 100 communities a year with project funding up to $50,000.

Since inception, T Mobile has given more than $14 million dollars to kickstart 325 community development projects across 42 states with projects such as: upgrading tech at local libraries, building new hiking trails and revitalizing historic buildings.

T Mobile is focusing on revitalizing community spaces in towns with 50,000 people or less. Main Street programs are encouraged to apply.

Projects must be completed and usable by the public by May 31, 2025.

Award Ceiling: $50,000

Current Application Cycle: January 1, 2025 to March 31, 2025
